Tin Tin is a handsome 3-year-old Carolina Dog / Canaan Dog mix weighing approximately 44 pounds. He is a wonderfully calm, loving, and social boy who enjoys being around people and gets along well with other dogs.
Tin Tin has not had direct interaction with cats, so his compatibility with them is currently unknown.
One of Tin Tin's favorite activities is going for walks on a leash. He has a relaxed personality but genuinely enjoys getting outside, exploring, and spending time with his people. He could be a wonderful match for someone looking for a companion who enjoys daily walks without being described as overwhelmingly high-energy.
When Tin Tin was rescued, one of his legs was injured. Unfortunately, no one knew exactly what had happened to him before his rescue. He was given rest and time to recover. His future family should share this history with their veterinarian and continue monitoring the leg for any signs of discomfort or changes in mobility.
As a Carolina Dog / Canaan Dog mix, Tin Tin may share traits associated with these intelligent, alert, athletic, and loyal breeds. They can form strong relationships with their families and benefit from consistency, positive-reinforcement training, regular exercise, and opportunities to use their minds.

Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
Tin Tin already enjoys walking on a leash, which is a wonderful activity for his future family to continue.
Like any rescue dog entering a new environment, he will still need time to learn his family's schedule, expectations, and household rules. Rescue dogs may have basic training at best, so adopters should continue reinforcing leash manners, basic commands, recall, and household boundaries through positive-reinforcement training.

Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Tin Tin is neutered and current on his vaccinations.
Because he arrived at rescue with an injured leg of unknown origin, his adopter should make sure his veterinarian is aware of that history. If limping, discomfort, swelling, stiffness, reluctance to exercise, or other mobility changes appear, he should receive veterinary evaluation rather than simply being placed on rest again.
His family should continue providing routine wellness exams, recommended vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental care, quality nutrition, healthy weight management, regular grooming, appropriate exercise, and veterinary treatment whenever needed.
Keeping Tin Tin at a healthy weight is also especially beneficial for reducing unnecessary stress on his joints and previously injured leg.
