❤️ Personality & Breed Information
Jaime is an adorable 2-month-old Terrier mix weighing approximately 9 pounds. He's a friendly little puppy at the very beginning of his life, ready to find a family who will love him, teach him, and help him grow into a wonderful adult companion.
Jaime is good with other dogs and children. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown.
As a Terrier mix, Jaime may grow into a bright, curious, playful, affectionate, and energetic companion. Terriers often have fun personalities and enjoy exploring, playing, learning, and spending time with their people.
Because Jaime is only two months old, his exact adult size, appearance, energy level, and temperament cannot yet be guaranteed.
Jaime will need a family prepared for everything that comes with raising a puppy—not just the adorable parts! He will benefit from consistent training, socialization, playtime, mental enrichment, appropriate exercise, and lots of patience and affection.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
At only two months old, Jaime is truly a baby. His adopter should expect normal puppy behaviors such as potty accidents, chewing, puppy nipping, bursts of energy, curiosity, and plenty of learning.
Rescue puppies generally arrive with basic training at best. His family should be prepared to work on:
House training
Crate training as appropriate
Basic commands
Leash skills when age appropriate
Recall
Appropriate chewing
Bite inhibition
Household boundaries
Positive socialization
Training should always be patient, consistent, and based on positive reinforcement. The habits Jaime develops during puppyhood can help shape the adult dog he becomes.
The 3-3-3 Rule
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand his new household routine
3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home
Every puppy adjusts at a different pace, so Jaime should be allowed to settle in without being overwhelmed.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Jaime's vaccinations are currently up to date, and his neuter will be completed when age appropriate.
Because he is only two months old, his adopter will need to continue his puppy veterinary care as he grows, including any remaining vaccines and boosters recommended by his veterinarian.
His future family should provide routine veterinary care, parasite prevention, quality puppy nutrition, dental care, healthy weight management, age-appropriate exercise, continued training and socialization, and veterinary treatment whenever needed.
Until his veterinarian confirms that his puppy vaccination series provides appropriate protection, his family should also be careful about exposing him to high-risk public areas where unknown or unvaccinated dogs may have been.
