Meet Fig!
Fig is a sweet, easygoing little guy who came to us through local TNR efforts in July. He’s grown into a wonderful kitten with a calm personality, a playful side, and a very big purr.
Fig isn't the type of kitten who needs to be the center of attention. He's perfectly happy doing his own thing, hanging out with the other cats, and taking in everything around him. But when you give him some attention, he is more than happy to accept it! He loves to be pet and will often answer with a loud, happy purr.
And when it's time to play, Fig is all in. He loves chasing the wand toy, and he can jump pretty high trying to catch it! He also loves catching and chasing pom-pom balls. After playtime, he's happy to settle down for a nap or snuggle with one of his kitten friends.
Fig gets along great with the cats in his foster home and loves sleeping, playing, and snuggling with the other kittens. He's been particularly good with the younger kittens and seems to enjoy showing them the ropes. Having other cats around suits Fig perfectly, and we think he'd be happiest in a home with another friendly cat.
What’s most charming about Fig is that he's not looking for the spotlight. He's a calm, go-with-the-flow kind of guy who's content to be nearby, enjoys his pets and playtime, and doesn't need constant attention to be happy. Once he gets to know you, his sweet personality and wonderful purr come out.
He's still a little unsure about the dogs in his foster home, but we think he could learn to live with a calm, cat-friendly dog given the right introduction.
Fig would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, playful, uncomplicated kitten who doesn't need to be the center of the universe. Give him a cozy spot, a feline friend, some playtime, and a little affection, and Fig is a very happy boy.
And yes, Churu treats are absolutely the way to his heart!
Please note: If Fig is adopted before his scheduled neuter appointment, his adopter will need to take him. Neutering is required as part of his adoption. Adopters must live in New Jersey and within an hour’s drive of Holmdel, NJ.
Fig is up to date on his kitten vaccines and tested negative for FIV/FELV.
Adoption fee: $175 ($300 for a pair)
Adopting an animal is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these animals have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
