Meet Oakley - Pretty in Blue Merle with a Heart Full of Love!
Oakley, Ranger, Maverick, and Major are siblings currently with one of our partner rescues in Louisiana. They are awaiting a foster or adopter so they can make their trip to NJ to live their best lives!
With her beautiful blue merle coat, sweet personality, and love for attention, Oakley is a girl who is sure to make you smile! This adorable Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix has a wonderful combination of playful puppy energy, affection, and an easygoing nature.
Oakley is a friendly, loving girl who enjoys meeting new people and making friends wherever she goes. She's a big fan of back scratches, playing tug-of-war with her siblings, and having fun with her favorite toys. She's got a goofy, playful side, but she's also a total sweetheart who would be perfectly happy snuggling up and enjoying some quality time with her people. And with her affectionate personality, don't be surprised if she thinks she's a lap dog!
At approximately 29 pounds, Oakley is expected to grow to around 40–50 pounds. She has a moderate energy level and would love a family who can offer a nice balance of playtime, exercise, training, and plenty of affection. She's not house-trained just yet, so she'll need a family willing to be patient and consistent as she learns her new routine and all the important things about being a family dog.
Oakley gets along with other dogs and is good with children. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. She would love a home with a securely fenced yard (6-foot fencing required) where she can safely play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors.
If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who is just as happy playing with her toys as she is soaking up belly rubs and cuddles, Oakley could be your perfect match!
This beautiful girl has so much love to give. All she needs now is a family to call her own!
Oakley is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Oakley has been spayed and has a microchip. Her adoption fee is $600.
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
