Jimmy – Big Puppy Energy, Sweet, and Playful

Jimmy is a 2-year-old Labrador Retriever mix weighing 47 pounds, with big puppy energy and a wonderfully playful, people-loving personality.

Playful and affectionate: Jimmy is bouncy and enthusiastic, especially when excited, and loves interacting with people. He enjoys playing fetch and leans into pets and affection. Smart and treat motivated: Jimmy responds well to “sit” once he settles down and takes treats with a soft mouth. Even better outside the shelter: While he was excited at first, Jimmy walked mostly on a loose leash during a field trip and became increasingly calm and consistent throughout the outing. He passed most dogs with minimal reaction, with only occasional brief alert barks, and responded well to redirection. He was reported to be noticeably calmer and more relaxed in the field-trip environment, showing how nicely he can settle when given the opportunity to explore and decompress.

Jimmy would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with appropriate dog friends.
