[YELLOW]Background: Brought in stray by finder on 8/13/26.B Finder reported that dog had been roaming for a few days, was timid at first. Finder was able to leash dog after feeding him some wet food. Dog jumped right in the car and was calm/relaxed and friendly in the car. Given Yellow dot on intake. Allowed pets, but didnbx00#25;t want any more pets after receiving Bordetella vaccine. A second person was asked to help with vaccines while the first staff person held him. No issues with holding him for a second person to vaccinate. First time meeting handler for evaluation on 8/24/26.O: In kennel dog stands near the front of the kennel. Soft face, soft wagging tail. Easy to leash. Bouncy walking out of the kennel and down the hall. Moderate to hard pulling down the hallway, appeared somewhat stiff body language and stiff tail, though natural posture appears to be somewhat stiff. Dropped leash in the yard. Dog urinated, defecated, then walked and sniffed. Engaged with handler when handler spoke to him. Leaned into pets all over head, neck, chest, shoulders, back, with soft face, relaxed musculature, and loose wagging tail. Jumped up with front legs on seated handler. Appeared somewhat still with petting, but very loose, wagging tail and relaxed open mouth after handler stopped petting for a consent check. Dog leaned into handlers lap for all over pets. Relaxed open mouth. Sat when lured into seated position. Did not respond to verbal cue. Soft mouth taking treats. Followed tossed toys and balls. Did not pick up. Bounced around playfully with handler in the yard. Made some hard body contact when jumping towards handler. Walked with moderate pulling on leash ahead of handler back to kennel. Paused at kennel threshold. Followed treats inside. Removed slip leash by hand without issue.A: Affiliative. Presents as medium to high energy. Attentive to handler and shows enjoyment with pets. Moderate to hard pulling on leash. Possibly house trained (eliminates on entering the yard). Does not appear to know any commands. Yellow for volunteer handling, no issues leashing, walking, handling, returning to kennel, but dog can be jumpy and sometimes makes hard body contact with handler. Crew volunteer and whiteboard notes to date are consistent with staff notes.P: Make available for adoption. Adopters should continue to work on basic manners (leash skills, recall, sit) using a patient, reward-based training approach. Unknown how this dog may behave around children.
