A DARLING LITTLE COMPANION: Approx. 7 years old / Approx. 8 lbs.
Hi, I'm Judith! I came to Mostly Mutts due to a hording situation. They had good intentions, but things turned out overwhelming, so thankfully they received help and we're all safe and sound, and happy now! I'm in a wonderful foster home while I wait for my new family to come and adopt me!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I get along great and play well with the 10-20 lbs. dogs in my foster home, after a little warming up time. So, if you have smaller dogs like this, let's meet! / My foster also fosters some kittens for MM and I enjoy playing with them—so cute! All cats are different so I'm not sure how I would do with other kitties. / I like the gentle teens in my foster home, so if you have older kids that know how to gently handle a very small dog like me, let's meet and no very young kids please as I'm a sensitive gal and as mentioned, very small!
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a friendly, sensitive, and delightfully silly girl who takes my job as your little shadow very seriously! If you're sitting, I want to sit with you, and if you're up and about, I'll be right there keeping you company while I wait for you to sit with me again. After all, why should you have to do anything alone when you could have me along? I also love to waller around on things and make myself very comfy. I'm happiest when I’m close to my people, so a family member who’s home a lot and can spend plenty of time with me would be my dream come true. I’m not the girl who wants to be left alone for long stretches—I’m much more interested in being part of whatever you're doing! And one more thing that makes me extra adorable? My little tongue peeks out frequently because I don't have any teeth left after getting a recent dental and needing them to be removed. I may be a toothless gal, but I'm certainly not short on personality or love to give! / Energy level: 3-5.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I don't seem to know any commands yet, but I did learn to go up and down the stairs in my foster home. Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so let's do some training together. / The crate is not my favorite place, so I'll likely cry in it while you're away. / My potty manners are improving with fewer indoor accidents, but my foster reports that I may tinkle if suddenly picked up or if you hold me too long. Please know that I'll need you to continue helping me master my potty skills.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I LOVE treats and dinnertime! The way to my heart is definitely through my little tummy. I also enjoy playing with other sweet animals once I've had a little time to warm up and get to know them. But one of my very favorite places in the whole world is my people's laps! Being close to you and getting to snuggle makes me a very happy girl. / I don't like it when my person isn’t around and will cry until I see you again and like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, and training.
• MEDICAL: I'm current on my annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I was missing a lot of teeth when I arrived and the teeth I had left needed to be pulled during my dental, but I don't let that bother me at all, and I hope you won't either!
