[YELLOW]Background: Brought in stray by finder on 8/9/26. Dog followed finder home; dog was in the home for 3 hours with no issues. Finder walked dog over to the shelter and noted that she was bx00#28;really friendly overall.bx00#29; Staff was unable to complete intake procedure on first day in the shelter, noted dog bx00#28;first allowed me to pet her with a low and small tail wag, when trying to put flea meds she became tail tucked, wide eyes, pupil dilated, ears back, snapped at me. tried again with same reaction.bx00#29; Given blue dot on intake. Staff were able to complete intake on second day in the shelter. Second time meeting handler for evaluation on 8/13/26. O: Dog was standing at the front of the kennel nose to the bars, soft wagging tail, tapping toes. Sniffed leash and slightly leash avoidant at first, then walked out into the leash loop. Pulled hard on leash down the hallway. In the yard, dropped leash. Dog walked and sniffed. Urinated 1x (second outing of the day). Dog trotted around the yard with loose body language, relaxed open mouth and wagging tail. Followed and sniffed tossed toys but did not pick up. B Leaned into pets all over head, neck, chest, shoulders, back, with soft face relaxed musculature, soft wagging tail. Handler stood. Ask for sit. Dog sat and made soft eye contact with handler, relaxed open mouth, took treats with soft mouth then dropped treats on the ground. Hard pulling back to kennel. Dog followed handler into kennel. Removed slip leash by hand while petting dog around the neck and head. A: Affiliative and approaches readily once comfortable. Shows enjoyment with pets. Presents as medium energy. Pulls hard while on leash, but easy to manage d/t size. Knows sit.B Treat motivated.B Showed minimal interest in toys. Yellow d/t some leash avoidance and initial fearful presentation to staff. B P: Make available for adoption. Recommend adopters continue to work on basic manners (leash skills, recall, sit) using a patient, reward-based training approach.
