[YELLOW]Background: Brought in stray by finder on 8/8/26. Finder noted dog was calm/relaxed and friendly in the car. Staff noted dog was bx00#28;leash avoidant in kennel, likes baby talk, small low tail wag, allowed me to touch body and head.bx00#29; Given Yellow dot on intake. Second time meeting handler for evaluation on 8/10/26. O: Dog was standing at the front of the kennel with neutral posture and soft wagging tail. Easy to leash. Walked ahead of handling with minimal pulling, soft high wagging tail, relaxed musculature. Once outside, lightly tucked tail, some stalling and darting on leash, ears back, wide eyes, turning to look side to side as she walked. Continued walking with verbal encouragement from handler. In the yard, dropped leash. Dog walked and sniffed. Urinated and defecated 1x. Approached handler when encouraged with baby talk. Leaned into pets all over head, neck, chest, shoulders, back, with soft face relaxed musculature, soft wagging tail. Put her front paws up on handlerbx00#25;s lap, wiggled around then jumped down, offered a play bow and skittered around in play bow posture with wagging tail. Walked away to sniff. Did not follow tossed toys. Sat when asked. Did not take treats. Walked with moderate pulling back to kennel. Dog followed handler into kennel. Removed slip leash by hand while petting dog around the neck and head. A: Affiliative and approaches readily for pets/handling. Shows enjoyment with pets. Presents as medium energy. Walks well on leash with moderate pulling. Knows sit.B Did not show any interest in toys or treats. Yellow for volunteer handling d/t environmental sensitivity. Consider for Green if recommended by volunteers. B P: Make available for adoption. Recommend adopters continue to work on basic manners (leash skills, recall, sit) using a patient, reward-based training approach. Unknown how this dog may behave around children.
