[YELLOW]Handling evaluation. Was seized due to neglect from inadequate shelter, food and water. Green on intake no other notes.When being introduced to a new foster and their 4 year old, staff observed this dog avoid the 4 year old, "wary".From foster notes, "On walks, she may jump toward dogs with a wagging tail and loose/playful behavior. She can be shy with unfamiliar people, particularly men, and on one occasion snapped without making contact when a man approached her quickly and closely; she generally warms up more quickly to women." Currently in a foster home with two adults (male and female) and two resident dogs, living successfully.Adopters should be counseled on giving this dog space to initiate contact, and not to force interactions with new people.
