Meet Nacho! ??Meet Nacho, an 8-year-old big boy who has been through more than he deserves. Weighing in at nearly 20 pounds, Nacho is a seriously handsome, extra-large orange gentleman with an even bigger heart. He came to Macomb County Animal Control after his previous owner was no longer able to care for him.When Nacho arrived, his beautiful fur was so severely matted that he needed to be shaved down. Itâs hard not to wonder what this sweet boy had been through and how long he had been uncomfortable. Now, Nacho is hoping that someone will see past his rough start and give him the peaceful, loving home he deserves.Despite everything he has been through, Nacho is a very sweet and affectionate boy. He may need some time to adjust to his new surroundings, but once he is comfortable, he loves attention and enjoys spending time with his people.Because Nacho is carrying quite a bit of extra weight, his new family will need to continue him on a veterinarian-guided diet and weight-loss plan. Helping him reach a healthier weight will be an important part of his care and will help him live a happier and more comfortable life. Those big orange eyes may make saying no to treats difficult, but Nacho's health comes first!A quiet, lower-traffic home would be best for Nacho, along with children over the age of 10 who can give him the space and patience he needs. Nacho has never lived with dogs, so if his new home has canine companions, slow and proper introductions will be essential.At 8 years old, Nacho isn't looking for a life full of chaos or constant change.
