Meet Jake, a joyful eight-year-old Maltese mix who's currently enjoying life in his foster home in Waterloo! This little guy found his way to us after being surrendered to a shelter, and he’s ready to share all his love with a new family. With a beautiful white coat and a tail that doesn’t stop wagging, Jake's personality truly shines. He’s been given a recent health check-up and dental cleaning, which included some extractions. Jake is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped, so he’s all set to find his forever home.
Jake has been diagnosed with mild collapsing trachea and luxating patella, but that doesn’t hold him back. He’s still the sweetest companion you could wish for. Jake knows his basic commands and is a well-behaved fella who isn’t destructive. He’s housetrained and loves going on walks or playing in the fenced backyard. His mealtime is a delight, as he enjoys a mix of soft food and kibble, along with the occasional treat. At night, you might find him peacefully sleeping in a dog bed or curled up with his humans, ready for a cozy night. Jake can easily jump onto furniture and navigate stairs, making him quite the agile little guy!
Currently, he's in foster care with other dogs of similar size and gets along splendidly with them. However, he’s not too fond of cats and may chase them, so a cat-free home would be best. This charming pup would be happy living in an apartment or a house, as long as he has loving humans to call his own.
