shiva

Shiva is an approximately 50 pound, 11-year-old Beagle mix who ended up in an Ontario shelter as a stray in mid-September. While at the shelter she was spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. She also had 2 benign masses removed and bloodwork and urinalysis completed. The shelter sought rescue placement for her to ensure she receives future dental care and repeat bloodwork and urinalysis to rule out chronic issues. The shelter described her as sweet, people-loving, playful, and good for vet exams.

Shiva moved into a foster home and adjusted quickly. She is crate trained and sleeps 9 hours overnight in her crate without a peep. She is housetrained and has been quiet when left alone. Her foster describes her as more active than you would expect for a dog her age and a bit of a puller on leash. She prefers to have her kibble mixed with wet food to make it more enticing.

Shiva is looking for a new foster or foster-to-adopt home because she is not a fan of the senior, female Lab mix in her foster home. She is charging at her and grabbing the back of her neck in her mouth. Ideally, her next home would not have a resident female dog. A meet and greet to ensure compatibility with a male dog would be necessary. As she was a stray, we don't know if she would be a good fit for a home with cats or small animals but suspect not.
