About Forest’s Breed:

Our best guess is that Forest is a Hound/Labrador mix. Hound/Lab mixes often combine the affectionate, people-loving nature of a Labrador with the curiosity, intelligence, and adventurous spirit of a Hound. They tend to be loyal family companions who enjoy being included in daily activities, whether that's a walk around the neighborhood or a weekend adventure.

Forest's ideal home is one with a patient, loving family who will continue building his confidence and giving him plenty of affection. He would thrive with people who enjoy walks, playtime, and outdoor adventures, but who also appreciate a good cuddle session at the end of the day. Because of his gentle and sensitive nature, Forest would do best in a home with kind, respectful children and a family committed to helping him feel safe, loved, and cherished for the rest of his life.

What to Love about Forest:

Despite his young age, Forest has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. He spent the first part of his life confined to a cage alongside seven siblings, never knowing the love, comfort, or affection that every dog deserves. But since being rescued, this remarkable boy has blossomed into the sweetest, most loving companion you could imagine! Forest is truly a gentle spirit. Sensitive, submissive, and endlessly kind, he thrives on human affection and wants nothing more than to be close to his people. Every cuddle, belly rub, kind word, and moment of attention is treasured by him. He seems to understand that he was given a second chance, and he repays that kindness with extraordinary devotion.

One of the most special things about Forest is the way he looks at you. His eyes are full of pure love, trust, and gratitude. He's the kind of dog you'd expect to see in a heartwarming painting, gazing adoringly at his favorite person because that's exactly what he does. Wherever you go, Forest wants to be your loyal shadow and faithful best friend. Forest has an adorable sense of wonder about the world. A leaf floating through the air? Fascinating. A hopping toad? New best friend! Everything is an adventure through his curious eyes, and he approaches life with a sweetness that is impossible not to love. He's incredibly friendly with people, wonderful with other dogs, and even gets along beautifully with cats. He loves children of all ages, though because of his sensitive nature, he'd do best with gentle, respectful kids who understand that he's a tender-hearted boy. School-aged children would likely be an ideal fit.

Forest is already crate trained and is doing great with his potty training and house-training journey. He's also fantastic on a leash and absolutely LOVES going for walks. This boy has plenty of energy for fun and adventure and would love an active family that enjoys exploring together. Whether it's trips to the park, weekend adventures, games in the yard, or even some Forest hikes with Forest (how perfect is that?), he'll be thrilled to come along.

Forest is looking for a patient, understanding family who will continue building his confidence and showering him with the love he's waited his whole life to receive. In return, you'll gain an unbelievably loyal companion whose devotion knows no limits. If you're searching for a dog who is gentle, affectionate, great with animals and people, full of wonder, and ready to love with his whole heart, Forest may just be your perfect match!
