❤️ Personality & Breed Information
Tutti Frutti is a happy, outgoing 2-year-old Carolina Dog mix weighing approximately 30 pounds. She's a social, adventurous girl who is ready to enjoy life with a family of her own.
Tutti Frutti is friendly with dogs, children, and cats, making her a wonderfully social companion for a variety of households.
As a Carolina Dog mix, Tutti Frutti may share traits commonly associated with the breed, including being intelligent, athletic, curious, loyal, alert, and devoted to the people they trust. She'll benefit from a family that gives her opportunities to stay active, explore, and use her mind.
Her outgoing personality makes her a great candidate for a family that wants to include their dog in everyday life. Walks, outdoor adventures, interactive games, training sessions, and simply spending time together can all help keep Tutti Frutti happy and fulfilled.
She would benefit from daily exercise, mental enrichment, positive-reinforcement training, continued socialization, and plenty of companionship and affection.
Training, Adjustment & What to Expect
At two years old, Tutti Frutti is a young adult, but continued training and consistency are still important.
Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so her adopter should be prepared to continue working on house manners as needed, leash skills, basic commands, recall, calm greetings, and household boundaries.
Positive-reinforcement training will help Tutti Frutti understand what is expected of her while strengthening the relationship she develops with her new family.
The 3-3-3 Rule
3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe
3 Weeks to understand her new household routine
3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home
These are guidelines rather than deadlines. Tutti Frutti should be given the time she needs to settle comfortably into her new environment.
Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care
Tutti Frutti's spay, vaccination, and microchip status have not been provided.
Her adopter should review her medical records with a veterinarian and continue routine wellness examinations, recommended vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental care, quality nutrition, healthy weight management, grooming, nail care, and veterinary treatment whenever necessary.
Regular physical activity and mental stimulation will also be important for keeping this intelligent young dog healthy and happy.
