Meet Oscar! This resilient 8- to 9-month-old pup currently 16 lbs, (but working on gaining some healthy weight) is learning how wonderful the world is. Oscar had a rough start to life, but every day he discovers new joy in learning how to be a dog.
Everything is a brand-new adventure for Oscar—from discovering how cozy a plush dog bed is to taking his very first walks on a leash. While he is still learning to feel completely comfortable being handled or picked up and will gently step away when approached, his confidence is growing daily. He absolutely loves playing with toys and shows his happy, playful side more and more. He is good with all the dogs in his foster home.
Oscar is already doing fantastic with his house manners:
He is house trained, He does all his business outside.
He s crate trained. Settles nicely in his crate.
He is playful. Loves interactive toys and finding fun ways to play.
Oscar would thrive in a patient, loving home that will give him the space and encouragement he needs to build confidence at his own pace.
The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
