Meet the most marvelous Maggie! This adorable pint sized heeler girl was found at a shelter after being left by her people who kept her puppies and surrendered her.
Though her story starts out sad, the ending is not! Maggie is joyful and full of life, ready to play with anyone who will throw her ball, wag her cute little stub tail when she meets someone new, and curl up with her favorite people at the end of the day. She is 2-3 years old and weighs in at 31 lbs, the perfect size for adventures or a quick scoop into the arms, where she will happily hang out and give face snuffles. She is truly a velcro girl, ready to be by your side at all times.
Maggie walks beautifully on a leash and loves to explore the neighborhood and trails. She has gone for some runs already and will make an excellent running or hiking companion. She is reliably and fully housetrained and will use a crate, though it is not her favorite place. She would prefer to sleep at night curled up next to someone in the human bed. She has been staying in a crate while her people are away from the house, though will need some work on her comfort with this if left for longer periods of time. She may do best with minimal alone time to start.
This tiny heeler girl loves to meet other dogs and has been very respectful of her older foster dog sister who is not interested in playing. She greets with social grace, taking cues nicely from others. She lives with an older kid in her foster home and has met some younger neighborhood children, and seems comfortable with all. Maggie knows some basic commands and is working on furthering her vocabulary- she will be a quick study with her alert intelligence. She LOVES the ball and chooses this over just about anything else, with excellent fetch and return skills. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to be someone's new best friend!
