Meet Oso! Oso is a 6-year-old, 25 lb. Poodle/Maltese mix with a sweet, affectionate personality and an enthusiastic love for life. He is friendly, curious, well mannered and incredibly loving. Whether he’s heading out for an adventure or settling in for a nap, Oso is happiest being close to his people.
Oso loves going for walks and follows direction well on leash. He is playful and energetic, but he also has a wonderfully chill side and is always happy to relax with his family. When it comes to toys, stuffed animals are his favorite, and he absolutely loves belly rubs, cuddles and car rides.
This smart boy already knows several commands, including sit, down, paw, drop it and no. He is food motivated and has excellent manners at mealtime—he will sit and patiently wait for permission before eating. Because he is such an enthusiastic eater, a slow feeder is recommended.
Oso is potty trained. He sleeps through the night and has made great progress sleeping in his crate. He can experience separation anxiety, so he would benefit from a patient adopter who can continue helping him feel comfortable and secure when left alone.
Oso is also a dream when it comes to grooming. He does very well with baths, brushing and even tooth brushing. He loves affection and cuddling, although when it’s time to sleep, he often prefers a cool surface because he tends to run warm.
On walks, Oso can occasionally be reactive, particularly when another dog around him becomes reactive, but overall he is trusting, obedient and responsive to direction.
Oso is a loving, playful and loyal companion who has so much affection to give. He would love a family that will enjoy his enthusiastic personality, continue building his confidence when alone, and give him plenty of walks, stuffed toys, belly rubs and snuggles. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $300.
