mama ru

Mama Ru is a special cat. She arrived at the shelter with seven (!) kittens. She did an incredible job caring for them, first in someone's shed, and then in her foster home. She did so well in her foster home with her babies, but now that they've been adopted it's her turn! Mama Ru will be amazing cat in the right home. She is mostly solitary, enjoys having her boundaries respected, and is content being alone most of the time and basking in the sunshine or lounging on bed. But when she wants love, she is like Velcro! When she wants attention (about an hour each day), she’s the most affectionate cat you’ll ever meet! When she loves someone, she loves them with all she has, and she’ll stare at you from afar with her slow blinking. Mama Ru would do great in a home with an understanding adopter who will respect her boundaries and quirks, and she can totally handle a household where people aren’t always around 100% of the time.
