Meet Chicken: A Tender Heart Learning to Trust
Chicken is a beautiful young adult Siamese mix who has a little confession to make: she really is a chicken. She isn’t the bravest girl in the room, but considering everything she’s been through, we think she has earned the right to take life at her own pace.
Chicken came to us very pregnant and in desperate need of help. She required an emergency C-section, and heartbreakingly, none of her babies survived. But Chicken did. And during her recovery, something important began to happen. She learned that human hands can be gentle, voices can be kind, and people can be trusted.
Her wonderful fosters have patiently helped her come a long way. Chicken is now a laid-back, sweet girl who becomes affectionate once you earn her trust. She still needs time to feel safe, so she’s looking for a quiet, patient home with someone willing to let the relationship unfold on Chicken Time. She also seems to feel more comfortable with women than men.
Busy adoption events would simply be too overwhelming for this shy lady, so Chicken is available by private meet-and-greet instead. Contact Cenla Cat Project if you’d like the chance to meet her.
