Belinda #1 | 1-year-old Chihuahua Mix | The sweetest little cuddle bug
Belinda is a 17-pound sweetheart who seems to have never met a stranger. This brown Chihuahua mix is doing well with housetraining but still needs a little work, and like any dog adjusting to a new home, she may have an occasional accident while settling into her new routine. She walks beautifully on leash and is perfectly content to relax with her people. She can be left alone for 6–8 hours without any destructive behavior and is truly a perfect angel around the house.
Belinda absolutely loves people and is happiest when she’s giving and receiving affection. She’s calm, easygoing, playful, and the biggest cuddle bunny. She loves resting her head on you and will even offer you her paw when she wants some love. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and is also doing well with cats. She hasn’t met children yet, but given her incredibly sweet and gentle nature, her foster believes she would do well with kids of any age.
Belinda was found as a stray in Houston before coming to Colorado, so she may not have had much training in her early days, but she is amazingly well adjusted and is responding beautifully to structure. She likes little stuffies and enjoys carrying them around, although people are still her favorite thing in the world. Belinda would probably love a home with a yard, but she is ideally suited for apartment living because she is not a barker! Ultimately, she is looking for a home filled with lots of love, attention, and companionship.
If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
The adoption fee for this pet is $400. Our adoption fee covers the following:
Spay/neuter
Microchip
DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.
