Delilah is a petite little package, waiting to make your day with cuddles and the biggest smile you’ve ever seen. She’s showing some signs of anxiety at the shelter and part of that could be because she only arrived as a stray less than a week ago (Aug 18th). All the noises and the new routine can terrify them. The volunteers have found her to be extremely sociable with new humans, though, and quite interested in her surrounding world. She loves a good sniff to establish where she is; she also uses the bathroom as soon as she gets outside, which means she might be potty-trained. (Most dogs need a primer, once they get into a house again, however, if they’ve been at the shelter for some time, so please make sure to give her frequent bathroom breaks, if you bring her home.)Staff has not had a chance yet to test her with other dogs and so she is currently in a kennel by herself. While she did not display reactivity on her walks with volunteers she was extremely interested in passing dogs. It’s too soon to know what this means.Delilah is going to brighten your day as soon as you meet her. She’s a loyal girl with a huge heart.
