Meet Phoebe — 99 Pounds of Sweetness
Phoebe is a 5-year-old girl with a big body, a soft expression and, according to the person who knows her best, a very sweet personality.
Phoebe recently came to the shelter after living in a home, and her owner left us some wonderful information about her. She is housetrained, loves people and is friendly with visitors. She enjoys being petted all over and likes to play with balls and squeaky toys. She’s also accustomed to going for walks and even enjoys swimming!
Her previous home included a cat, and her owner reported that the two got along after a while. She had not lived with other dogs in that home.
At 99 pounds, Phoebe has a little extra Phoebe to love right now, and getting back to a healthier weight would be good for her. Fortunately, she already enjoys walks, so perhaps her new person can help her work toward that goal one stroll at a time.
Phoebe isn't a mystery dog whose personality still has to be discovered. She has been someone's companion. She knows what it is to live in a home, have a routine and belong to someone. Now she needs the chance to have that again.
