Rusty – Enthusiastic, Affectionate, and Playful

Rusty is a 1-year-old auburn pup of unknown breed weighing 61 pounds. He’s a happy young dog with plenty of puppy energy and a big love for his people.

Affectionate and people-oriented: Rusty loves being near his human and happily follows along. He adores pets and may immediately flop over for belly rubs. Treat motivated and polite: Rusty wags his tail when treats appear and takes them with a soft mouth. He responds nicely to “sit” and confidently follows his person’s cues onto patio furniture for a little canine “barkour.” Playful and curious: He enjoys a good sniffari, occasional zoomies, and exploring his surroundings. Eager to learn: Rusty can be a little bouncy when excited, but he responds well to redirection. Young and energetic: Rusty is still learning his manners and will benefit from continued positive training and outlets for his puppy energy.

Rusty may be most successful as the only dog or with no more than one other appropriately match dog.
