Papaya is an 8 year old Red Heeler mix, and believe us, she is just as sweet as she looks! With her beautiful white face and those incredibly hopeful “please love me” eyes, this gentle girl has a way of tugging at your heart from the moment you meet her. Papaya is calm, very well-mannered, and an absolute pleasure to walk on leash. She knows Sit and Paw, and she politely greets people, other dogs, and even cats. At 8 years young, Papaya still enjoys going for walks with her favorite person, but she’d be equally happy curled up beside you on the couch during a quiet evening at home. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.

The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
