If you're looking for a dog who's always ready for the next adventure, meet Lagoon! This energetic girl lives life to the fullest and is more fun than a day at the beach. She thinks every day is a great day for a walk, an adventure or a good play session. Lagoon's favorite things include squeaky or engaging toys, going on walks and spending time with her favorite humans. She happily hops into the car and rides well contained in crate, and she is always excited to see where the day takes her.
When meeting new people, Lagoon can be a little shy at first. She may seem uncertain but playful and need a little time to figure things out. Walks and playtime are the quickest way to her heart! Most people become friends after the first meeting, especially when they're patient and let her warm up at her own pace. Once she knows you, she's affectionate, loyal and loves leaning in for chest and neck scratches.
Lagoon is a fun walking buddy who may occasionally celebrate with a case of the leash zoomies! She enjoys being out and about, exploring the world. Like any great adventure partner, Lagoon comes with a few things her future family should know. She can be sensitive to handling from unfamiliar people and does best with gentle, low-pressure introductions. She also thrives with exercise and routine. Continued positive reinforcement training will help her continue to build her confidence.
Lagoon can greet other dogs on leash and enjoys parallel walks with dog friends, but she's not a dog who can be dropped into every playgroup situation. She plays with a lot of enthusiasm and can become overly excited, especially during chase games, so she'll need thoughtful management and continued guidance around dog interactions. A home that understands dog body language and can help her make good choices with canine friends would be ideal.
