Raylee is a stunning 6-year-old Tennessee Treeing Brindle (Hound) and PitBull mix, weighing about 45 pounds. Behind her beautiful brindle coat is a gentle, intelligent soul who has overcome an incredibly difficult past and is finally discovering what it means to be loved.
For most of her life, Raylee lived with people who failed to give her the care, security, and affection every dog deserves. When she came to our rescue, she was frightened, shut down, and unsure if she could trust anyone. Watching her blossom has been nothing short of amazing. With patience, kindness, and love from her foster mom and caregivers, Raylee has transformed into a sweet, affectionate girl who adores her people and loves nothing more than being close to them.
While she may be a little shy when meeting someone new, give her a little time and you'll discover a loyal companion who loves to cuddle, go for walks, and hop into the car for her next adventure. She's curious about the world and eager to keep exploring it with a family by her side. Whether it's a scenic hike, a stroll through the neighborhood, or a weekend road trip, Raylee is ready to make new memories.
Raylee is incredibly smart and loves learning. She graduated from basic obedience training and a nose work (scent detection) classes with flying colors, where she shines. Her intelligence, natural curiosity, and willingness to learn make her an absolute joy to work with.
Although Raylee is non-reactive around other dogs, she truly prefers spending her time with people. She may do well with a calm, easygoing dog, but her biggest wish is simply to have a family of her own. Because of her past, we believe she would be happiest in a home with older children who can respect her need to settle in at her own pace.
A fenced yard would certainly be a bonus, but it's not a requirement. What matters most is a family that enjoys walks, hikes, and spending quality time together. Raylee walks beautifully on a leash and would love to be your companion on every adventure. She remains calm and confident on walks, even when passing reactive dogs, never feeling the need to respond. Instead, she simply continues on her way, making her a wonderful and easy walking partner.
More than anything, Raylee is searching for the one thing she's never truly had--a family that will cherish her, protect her, and love her unconditionally. In return, she'll reward you with unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and a heart full of gratitude.
Raylee is spayed, microchipped, potty trained, crate trained, and up to date on her vaccinations. Now all she needs is the forever home she's been waiting for.
