ITALIAN CITIES THEMED KITTEN: Approx. 3-4 months old / Approx. 2.5 lbs. & growing
Hi, my name's Rome! My siblings and I came to Mostly Mutts when a good citizen reached out for help to find us loving homes. We have been in a great foster home, and we are now ready to find homes of our very own. I'm excited to rescue my new family soon!
OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS: I get along great with my siblings, as well as the adult kitties in my foster home. In fact, when we were not feeling well, they were quite protective of us. I may enjoy another kitty in my new home. If you have a nice kitty at home who may enjoy a kitten friend, let's meet! / Dogs unknown / Children in my new home may be nice, since I am a playful kitten. Best they are gentle and know how to handle a kitten, and—of course, let's meet!
PERSONALITY INFORMATION: I'm a quiet little guy who's still learning that people can be kind. I don't usually cuddle up with my foster, but I HAVE started relaxing on the couch when things are calm, and I've even chosen to spend time with the 12-year-old in my foster home. When I hear my foster coming, I look to see who's there instead of running away right away, which is a big step for me. If someone pets me, I'll stay still, even though I'm frightened, and then I may need a little time to hide and recharge afterward. Having another confident, friendly cat would help show me that people aren't so scary after all. With time, understanding, and lots of love, I know I'll keep making little steps forward.
SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS: I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained.
LIKES/DISLIKES: Even though I'm nervous around humans, I absolutely love other cats and kittens! They're my best friends, and you'll often find me chasing, wrestling, and playing with them. The adult cats in my foster home have taken me under their wing, and having feline friends around helps me feel safe. / New things and unexpected touches can be scary for me, so I may hiss or shy away when someone tries to pick me up or pet me when I'm not ready. I can't think of any other dislikes since I am a kitten, but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention all kitties deserve—on my terms, of course!
MEDICAL: Ive started my kitten shots, but you must finish those for me as I grow. I am microchipped. I'm not yet neutered due to my small size, but it is required and will be done as soon as I grow a little more. Mostly Mutts will cover that cost with one of their approved vets in the North Metro Atlanta area, so local adoptions only.
I'm looking for a patient, quiet home that will let me move at my own pace while growing into the confident kitty I will become with lots of love to share. My adoption fee is $175.00, and I'm located in Kennesaw, Ga.
