Courtesy Post for 4yo Randy (AKA Glimmett)!
Randy is the kind of dog who’ll make you laugh with his goofy antics one minute and impress you with his focus on learning the next. He loves to play, but equally loves to be a couch potato. Randy needs a person or family that has experience with dogs, is willing to continue his training, and is able to give him ample exercise and mental enrichment.
Randy loves going for walks and is currently working with a professional trainer to continue building his leash skills. He’s an enthusiastic boy who thrives with a confident handler and enjoys learning new things.
He is eager to please and really enjoys training.
Randy would do best with a family that understands he prefers quality over quantity when it comes to dog friends. Slow introductions are key, and he has lived with and done well with female dogs.
Cats are not recommended due to his prey drive.
He is doing well with his crate training, and can also be trusted to be left alone- he’ll just nap on the couch.
Randy is a strong, athletic dog with a big heart. He is loyal, affectionate, and loves being with his people. Because of his size and strength, Randy is looking for an adopter who is comfortable handling a powerful dog and understands the importance of structure, consistency, and continued training.
Randy is looking for a calm, predictable home where he can continue to thrive. For that reason, we are seeking an adult-only household.
Randy is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. His adopter has realized that, due to physical limitations, she isn’t able to safely handle a strong, active dog. He’s looking for a person or family that is a better match for his needs.
