Arlo is a handsome 4-year-old Beagle/Pit Bull mix weighing about 60 pounds. He has been a cherished member of his family's home since he was just 4 months old.
Arlo is a loving, affectionate boy who adores cuddling, giving hugs, and spending quality time with his favorite people. He is house-trained, knows his basic commands along with several additional cues, and is calm and well-mannered around the house.
Like many sensitive dogs, Arlo is most comfortable in a predictable environment. As he's matured, he has become uncomfortable around some children and has shown fear-based behaviors, so we believe he would be happiest in an adult-only home. He would thrive with a patient, understanding adopter who can continue building his confidence and help him feel secure.
Arlo can also be selective with other dogs. He has successfully lived with a 25-pound canine companion and tends to be more comfortable with some smaller dogs, but slow introductions and thoughtful management are important.
This decision has been heartbreaking for his family because Arlo is deeply loved. They are committed to finding him the right home where he can continue to be the loyal, affectionate companion they know him to be.
