Olive came to MCHS on July 12 with her four littermates after they were being fostered by another rescue and needed a new place to go. These pups were born on April 27th and their mother appeared to be a pit bull type dog, around 60 pounds. We don't know who fathered them. Olive is happy and healthy and has the classic puppy energy. She has been vet checked, microchipped, and received all of her age appropriate vaccinations, including her rabies shot, but is not quite old enough to be spayed. The surgery will be coordinated with her adopter once she is older. The spay is required by us and, along with the rest of her vetting, is covered under her $150 adoption fee.
Because she is a puppy, Olive will need training in all areas. She's looking for a home in which she won't be left alone for long hours. She should do well with kids and male dogs and is young enough to learn to interact properly with cats. We are guessing she will be a medium-sized to large dog at maturity. She's a typical puppy, full of mischief and very playful!
NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.
