Smooch has been through more than most cats ever will. She’s the last of the kittens rescued from the house fire, and she’s been in foster care with Ms. R for quite some time now — patiently waiting for her turn to find a forever family.

She’s a shy girl around strangers, and that might be part of why she’s still waiting. But shy doesn’t mean unloving. Smooch adores Ms. R — she just hasn’t had many chances to meet new people.
