FRANCINE – White Female Mix, 11 Months, 105 lbs. Have you been waiting for a SPECIAL dog? Meet the sweetest girl EVER! Francine is an 11-month-old, 105-pound Pyrenees, Hound and Golden Retriever mix! How do we know? Well, we were really curious (mainly because of the length of her ears), so we did it! And if we do it, we're going to tell you! Besides, we're pretty sure you see what we saw. There's no Labrador in there! How, what, why, when and where? Here you go! Francine was surrendered to LRRF, and based on the picture we were sent, we kinda figured! But we're only human, and if you've followed us for any length of time, you know depending on the situation the dog is in, we just can't help ourselves!

Francine had been living outside in a rural area, pretty much on her own, since she was just 8 weeks old. She had free roam of the property of a quite elderly lady who had been handed this puppy at a local flea market. The family realized Francine deserved so much more and reached out to us. We have been SO impressed with Frannie! She is completely house-trained and has mastered the doggy door. It took a week or two for her to feel completely comfortable inside her foster home, but she has very quickly figured out that being an inside dog is actually pretty wonderful! Let's talk personality! Francine is extremely docile, lovable and just an all-around sweetheart. She is amazing with the 10 other dogs in her foster home and has absolutely loved being the younger pups' personal chew toy! She does wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and is both food and toy friendly. There are no cats in her foster home, but we've been told she's a bit afraid of them! There are also no children in the home, but based on her temperament and what we've seen, we think she would do well with kids of all ages. Now, let's talk about Francine's little challenge! A leash is currently foreign to her. She HATES the leash! She rides well in the car, but getting her there is still a work in progress! We know from experience it takes patients, time and consistency to learn leash skills when you have never been on one. This is a work in progress. She likes her holes, she especially likes mud and rain, and she's perfectly happy doing her own thing outdoors. Country Girl! If you love BIG dogs and are ready for a pretty special one, Francine might just be your girl!

Let's find this sweet country girl the home she's been waiting for!
