SAILOR NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Sailor Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Terrier Mix
Best Guess for Age: 6 months as of Nov. 2026 SEX: Female

Approximate Weight (still growing): 28lbs as of 11/3

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have tested Sailor with some of the cats at the shelter, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Sailor could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!
Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs DC area foster or forever home

Sailor is Looking For: Sailor is a sweet and happy young girl looking for her forever home! She's up for whatever you want---snuggles on the couch, adventures around town, trips to the dog park, playing with toys? It all sounds good to her! What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog.

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue hundreds of animals every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.
