Meet Bridgette!! Bridgette has a little cloudiness in her right eye due to previous inflammation associated with feline herpesvirus (FHV-1). The good news is that she's responded well to treatment, her imflammation has resolved, and she is comfortable and able to see out of both eyes! Some of the scarring will remain permanently, but it isn't currently causing any discomfort. Like many cats, Bridgette will carry FHV-1 for life. It may remain dormant, but occasional flare-ups can happen, especially during times of stress. She'll do best with a calm, low-stress environment and a little extra patience while adjusting to her new home. A wellness visit with her new veterinarian within the first few weeks is also recommended. Bridgette is ready to leave her shelter days behind and find a loving home where she can settle in, feel safe, and truly shine!
