STAR BERRY IS BACK⦠BUT THIS GIRL HAS A WHOLE LOT OF NEW THINGS TO SHOW US! Sometimes things don't work out, and Star has found herself back at PAC through absolutely NO fault of her own. But dang, did we learn a LOT about this girl in such a short amount of time! First, a HUGE thank-you to her newest temporary person for opening their home, spending time getting to know her, and helping us discover even more about what makes Star so special. Those updates make all the difference in helping us find the right forever match! So, what have we learned?* She's a lover! Star is affectionate, devoted, and happiest when she's close to her people.* She's got dog potential! She spent time around three German Shepherds with a trainer and did wonderfully! She showed interest in playing and no aggression during those interactions.* She's SMART! Sit and shake are already in her vocabulary. She's been working on stay, down, and heel, and catches on quickly with a few tasty training treats.* She's a quick study! House-training came surprisingly easily, with just a couple of initial accidents while adjusting to a new environment.* She's learned the crate life! She's made great progress with her routine and settling in nicely.Star is a big, strong girl, so she'll need someone comfortable handling a dog with her size and strength. She'll also appreciate a family willing to continue her training, give her attention, and include her in everyday life.We aren't looking for just ANY home for Star. We're looking for the RIGHT home.The kind of home where she can be someone's sidekick, continue learning, soak up affection, and finally unpack her bags for good.She's still the same wonderful girl. Her forever family just hasn't found her yet.
