CHICKY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Chicky Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Terrier mix
Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of Octo. 2026 SEX: Male

Approximate Weight: 27.5lbs as of 10/27

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have tested Chicky with some of the cats at the shelter, and he/she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Chicky could live with a cat, he has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!
Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs DC area foster or forever home

Chicky is Looking For: His forever home! He's heard that there are treats, belly rubs, and snuggly places to snooze at those. He's also heard that there are people out there who will love dogs with their entire hearts and would treat them like a real member of the family. Chicky's thought it over, and he would like to request that, please. He thinks it sounds so nice to be beloved. In return, he'll love you for life too! What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog.

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue hundreds of animals every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.
