Meet Swann — The One-Eyed Queen Who Deserves the Red Carpet!
Ahoy, mateys! Meet Swann, our beautiful English Bulldog named after Elizabeth Swann from
Pirates of the Caribbean
. We figured a pirate-inspired name was only fitting for a girl with one eye and a whole lot of personality!
At approximately 10 years old, Swann has earned every bit of her queen status. She’s a strong-willed, snorty, snoring, slightly bossy English Bulldog who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to let you know it. Honestly, her “I’m in charge here” attitude is half the entertainment!
Swann weighs about 44 pounds, but if you ever need to move her when she doesn’t feel like moving, you’ll swear she weighs 100! And don’t even think about eating without her supervision. She will stare directly into your soul, hoping to intimidate you into sharing a bite. Treats? She accepts all forms of payment, including the healthy veggies!
This sweet girl has been through a lot in her life. Before coming to Rescue Rovers, she had to have one eye removed after her eyeball ruptured. Her body also tells the story of a girl who has had many litters of puppies. Now, her foster family wants nothing more than to see her find a home where she can finally be treated like the queen she is. We’re talking red carpets, royal treatment, endless affection, and absolutely no more working for a living!
Swann’s idea of a perfect day? A whole lot of napping, cuddling with her humans, and being close to the people she loves. She may need a few extra minutes to wake up in the morning before she’s ready to face the world, but can you blame a queen for needing her beauty rest?
She is mostly house-trained, dog-door trained, and great with other dogs. She prefers cuddling with her furry friends over rough-and-tumble play, so she’s definitely more of a “let’s lounge together” kind of girl. She’s also wonderful with kids of all ages, although little ones carrying snacks should know that Swann may attempt a tiny pirate raid on their treats!
Swann isn’t looking for adventure on the high seas anymore. She’s ready for a cozy home, a soft place to nap, a family to love, and a life where she never has to wonder if she’s cherished.
Swann’s Royal Decree:
She has served her time, raised her puppies, and survived more than her share. Now it’s her turn to be spoiled rotten.
