MEET BOWIE! His Whole World Is Just Beginning! Bowie is a Lab/Husky mix boy that is 55 pounds and almost 2 years old. This boy is ready to make up for lost time after living his first years tied to a tree and no playmate dogs or any fun humans to interact with him. . He missed out on so many of the simple things dogs should get to experience. But now, his world is finally opening up, and he’s discovering just how wonderful life can be!
A backyard explorer! Bowie LOVES being outside! His dream home would have a BIG, securely fenced backyard where he can stretch his legs, explore, sniff all the things, and enjoy the freedom he’s missed out on. He’s ready to trade his old world for a whole lot of new adventures!
Looking for a built-in best friend? Bowie loves other dogs! Big or small, young or old, he’s happy to make friends and enjoys having other dogs to play with. A compatible canine companion would be a wonderful addition to his new home!
Adventure is calling! Car rides? YES, PLEASE! Bowie loves riding in the car and discovering new places. He’s also learning to meet new people, and he’s been enjoying those experiences, too. His world is getting bigger, and it’s exciting to watch him discover everything he’s been missing!
He’s got some good habits, too! Bowie is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night! He’s building a foundation for life in a home and has already learned a useful skill that can help make the transition to his forever family a little easier.
Young, energetic, and still learning!
Bowie has plenty of energy and is still working on his manners. He can jump when he’s excited, so a home with children over the age of 8 would be the best fit. He’s looking for a family who understands that he’s still learning and will help him channel all that enthusiasm into positive experiences.
His past doesn’t have to define his future.
Bowie didn’t get the start in life he deserved, but he has so much life left to live! He deserves a family who will be patient as he continues discovering the world, celebrate his progress, and give him the opportunity to experience all those ordinary little things that are completely extraordinary to him.
