Meet Clifford â The Big Red Dog!At 5 years old and a whopping 43 kg, Clifford is living up to his name as a big dog with an even bigger heart! This lovable big guy is ready to find a family who will see past his size and fall in love with the wonderful dog he is. We feel he could be part mastiff, part large hound, and part retriever!Clifford recently had a large lump removed from his hip, and weâre happy to share that the results came back negative for cancer! Thatâs wonderful news for this big boy as he looks forward to his next chapter, though his incision will require one more recheck with our veterinarian. Like many large-breed dogs, Clifford may have some hind-end mobility issues as he gets older. He will require a little extra care, a comfortable place to rest, and a family who understands that sometimes the biggest dogs need a little extra support, too. Clifford has bilateral ectropion which should continue to be monitored by your vet. Many dogs can live comfortably with the condition, while others require medication or surgery. We would be happy to provide a copy of his medical record to review with your regular vet. Clifford is ready to trade his shleter life for cozy naps, happy walks at his own pace, and the security of a home where he can finally settle in and be loved.
