Adopt Emmy! She is a sweet, playful, very smart 8 month old, female Great Pyrenees mix (possibly Lab or Shepherd mix). She was found as a stray with her sister and brought to a shelter, before they both came into SPIN Rescue.
Emmy was underweight at 44lbs when she was found but is starting to gain weight in her foster home. She's up to 55lbs now and we think a healthy weight would be around 70lbs.
She is very friendly and really loves people. Would probably sit in your lap if you let her. We haven't seen her around kids yet but think she would be great with them. She has a great temperament, always gentle, kind, and lower energy levels.
Emmy is good with dogs and we expect her to do well with cats too. She loves the male dog in her foster home and enjoys playing. She was a great companion to her sister in the shelter as well. She would love to have another dog playmate in her forever home and she seems to enjoy being part of the pack.
She is smart, knows many commands, and responds very well to being told No. She even comes inside when you call her.
Em is potty trained and will let you know when she has to go by standing by the back door. She is crate trained and goes in on her own when shes ready for bed at night.
She occasionally barks, usually only when the resident dogs in the home are barking. She still has a high pitched puppy bark.
She is very good on a leash, she doesn't pull, and she does also does great in the car.
Emmy is an absolute GEM!
She is spayed. Her adoption fee is $300. Currently is in a foster home in DFW area of Texas. We do work with out of state adopters.
