HI. I’M MILLER. I’M 35 POUNDS, I GIVE EXCELLENT BELLY RUB ACCESS, AND I’D LIKE TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER ABOUT MY LIVING SITUATION.
So, here’s what happened.
Somebody abandoned me in Mill River Park with my leash dragging behind me. Nobody came back for me and now I’m living in a loud shelter.
I’m about 3 years old, a pocket bully (yes, I come in a convenient, couch-friendly size), and I’m having a hard time with kennel life. It’s noisy, it’s stressful, and I don’t understand why I’m here.
But you know what happens when someone takes me OUT of my kennel?
BELLY RUBS. IMMEDIATE BELLY RUBS.
Turns out, underneath all this kennel stress is a guy who really wants human attention. The shelter staff adore me, but they agree that I need a change of scenery. Preferably one with a sofa. And snacks. Just saying.
I’ve been non-reactive to the dogs around me at the shelter, and when they showed me the cat room, I wasn't all that interested. There's still plenty to learn about me, but I sure would like the chance to figure out the whole home-dog thing.
So, can I come stay with you?
Maybe you could foster me while I decompress and show you who I am when I'm not stuck behind kennel bars. Or maybe you're the person who's been looking for a 35-pound sidekick with a very reasonable amount of legroom required on the couch.
I didn't ask to be abandoned. I'm just hoping someone will choose me.
Please, if you can foster or adopt me, reach out to the shelter. And if you can't, would you share my post? My person has to be out there somewhere.
Love (and pending belly rubs),
Miller
