Adopted from our shelter as a kitten, she spent nearly five years with her family before being returned because they found it difficult to manage life with both a toddler and a cat. It is always important to consider future family changes before adopting, so a pet can remain a cherished member of the family for life. Onyx is a friendly, social gal who loves people and isn't shy about making new friends. Her former family reported that she does well with adults, older children, and other cats. She enjoys being petted and showered with attention, and she may even give you a few loving licks! Although she got along with her feline sibling, she prefers human companionship. She also appreciates having a cat tree and scratching posts to call her own. Our staff and volunteers agree that Onyx is a big fan of affection. Understandably, she's feeling nervous about being back in the shelter after so many years in a home, but we know that with a little patience and a loving family, she can settle in and let her wonderful personality shine again.
