Built like a potato, rides in style, and ready for retirement adventures. Meet Funeral Potatoes, a 12-year-old Chihuahua with a name almost as memorable as his personality!Funeral Potatoes came to us after his owner had to move and could no longer take him along. He arrived in a very stylish hearse called a Hurst, and with his round little shape, the name just seemed to fit perfectly. This sweet senior is your classic older gentleman. He's a little slower these days, a little quieter, and can be shy when meeting new people, but once he settles in, he's a happy little guy who enjoys life's simple pleasures. While he loves a comfy bed and a cozy spot to relax, he still enjoys getting out for strolls around town and taking in the sights. In fact, a few regular walks would be a great way to help him shed a little bit of weight while spending quality time with his new family. When Funeral Potatoes visited our veterinarian, he was evaluated for Cushing's disease. Thankfully, testing did not indicate that he has it. However, because he is an older dog carrying a few extra pounds, his future family should continue to monitor his health with their veterinarian and keep him on a healthy lifestyle plan.Funeral Potatoes has done well with other dogs and cats and would likely thrive in a home with older children who understand how to respectfully interact with senior pets. He's looking for a family that will appreciate him for exactly who he is: a lovable little old man who deserves a soft bed, gentle walks, and plenty of love.If you're looking for a loyal companion to enjoy the slower side of life with, Funeral Potatoes is ready to roll right into your heart. ❤️Funeral Potatoes' adoption fee was sponsored by Jody Baker “ The Property Toller”! Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. However, it’s important to remember that the results may not fully reflect an animal’s true personality, as shelter and foster environments can be stressful.
