It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.

The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.

WAYLON, his mom ESSIE and his siblings, ELI and ELIZABETH were kicked out of their home. So the neighbor (our foster now) picked them up and reached out to us. Then about 2 weeks later, she picked up 3 kittens that were abandoned at a vet, So ESSIE raised all 6 kittens. The other 3 are WALTER, SONNY and MAXINE.

Meet WAYLON, a young brown tabby Egyptian Mau kitten from Beaumont, California, whose adventurous spirit, curious mind, and cuddly personality make him a delightful little companion. This handsome boy has places to go, things to investigate, and important work to supervise, especially when his favorite humans are trying to get things done. With WAYLON around, even an ordinary afternoon can turn into an entertaining adventure!

WAYLON’s story began on the streets of Beaumont, where he was found with his mama, ESSIE, and his siblings. Thankfully, a kind neighbor stepped in to help the little family, bringing them into a loving foster home where they could grow, play, and discover the comforts of being cared for. Now WAYLON is ready to start his next chapter with a family who will appreciate his wonderful personality and playful zest for life.

This boy is an adventurous explorer who wants to know what is happening everywhere. He is very curious, loves discovering new things, and is always ready to turn an ordinary object into an exciting new toy. Playtime is serious business for Waylon, and he brings enthusiasm to every chase, pounce, and playful leap. His lively nature is sure to keep his new family smiling.

But WAYLON has another very important talent: he is an excellent homework supervisor! Whether you are studying, working on a laptop, reading a book, or trying to finish a project, WAYLON would be happy to offer his assistance. Expect a curious little face nearby, a possible lap inspection, and perhaps a reminder that taking cuddle breaks is an essential part of productivity.

For all his adventurous energy, WAYLON is also a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being held and enjoys curling up in laps. He is the perfect combination of playful explorer and cozy cuddle companion. After a busy round of investigations, he is more than happy to settle in close to his people and enjoy some loving attention.

WAYLON also gets along very well with other cats, making him a wonderful candidate for a family with friendly feline companions. With his social nature and love of play, he can bring extra fun and companionship to a cat-friendly home.

6. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
7. Sign Adoption Contract
8. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
9. Take the Kitty Home

VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.

Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. VISITING HOURS: 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours.. FOR HOLIDAYS email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are the same 3-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet and greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.

Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.

We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

WAYLON is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $250 covers:

Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
