Say hello to Dolly! This 5lb girl found herself wandering the streets, matted and confused, before being picked up by Animal Control. Now, Dolly is getting a second chance at the life she deserves.
Dolly is still a little unsure of her surroundings and can be nervous and shy as she adjusts to her new world. But beneath that uncertainty is a gentle, sweet girl who just needs someone to show her she's safe. She's already getting dressed up at the rescue and discovering that a little pampering can feel pretty wonderful! Dolly would love a calm, loving home where she can settle in at her own pace and enjoy all the little comforts she's been missing.
Because Dolly is so small and delicate, her family will need to be mindful around larger animals and young children to help keep her safe. We're also unsure if Dolly has ever lived inside a home, so her potty-training habits are currently unknown. Her new family should be prepared to establish a routine and work on potty training as she adjusts to her new environment.
Dolly will also need regular brushing and grooming. She has very few teeth remaining, so she'll need wet food or softened kibble to make eating easier and more comfortable.
Dolly is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $350.
Dolly is currently in Texas but can travel to Washington, Portland, Oregon, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast. If transportation is needed, there is an additional $250 transport fee. Due to state regulations, Dolly cannot travel to Rhode Island or Massachusetts.
Could you be the safe, loving home Dolly has been waiting for?
