Benji is an incredibly sweet little girl who absolutely loves human affection!
She's a wonderful cuddle companion who enjoys being picked up, held, and loved on. She's comfortable with people and has a gentle, affectionate personality that makes her especially endearing.
While Benji is confident and loving with humans, she's much more sensitive around other animals. She can become frightened by other cats and may respond by becoming very vocal and defensive when she feels uncomfortable.
This behavior appears to come from fear rather than a desire to be aggressive. She simply feels safest when she doesn't have to worry about other animals approaching her.
She may be able to adjust to a familiar, gentle companion such as Luna, but she would likely be happiest as the only pet in her forever home.
Ideal Home: Benji would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a loving, affectionate companion. A quiet home where she can be the center of attention, without other pets, would give her the best opportunity to feel safe, comfortable, and confident
A Little About Their Upbringing
These kittens have been loved and cared for since they were very young.
They were regularly handled and socialized before coming into full-time foster care. When their mother became ill, we took over their daily care and have continued raising them as members of our family.
Our goal has always been to prepare them for happy, successful lives in their forever homes.
A few important things about their upbringing:
Socialization: All have been raised around people and regularly handled by children ages 10 and older.
Other animals: All five have experience around other cats and dogs and have generally been comfortable with both.
Litter training: All five have demonstrated excellent litter box habits, including when exploring unfamiliar areas of the house.
Handling: They are accustomed to being picked up, held, petted, and loved.
Play: They enjoy interactive toys, climbing, exploring, and playing together.
Positive reinforcement: They've been raised with gentle redirection rather than punishment. We encourage their future families to continue using positive, patient training methods.

Adoption Fee: $ 100.00
TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, FIV/FeLV test, and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption.
Because we do not know the background of many of our cats, we cannot guarantee exact age or breed.
Adoption centers may not have a volunteer present to open the cat enclosures, and we have foster homes located throughout the KC metro area. Please fill out an application if you'd like to meet this cat.
