ROCCO NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Rocco Best Guess for Breed: Black mouth cur mix
Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of October 2026 SEX: Male
Approximate Weight: 29 pounds as of October 2026 - still has a little growing to do.
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: Puerto Rico shelter! Needs a foster or forever home.
Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.
Rocco is Looking For: My forever family! I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. But most of all I want to know I'm safe and loved, where I belong. I have so many kisses and so much love and loyalty to give in return. What do you say? Do I get to go home with you?
What My Foster Says About Me: We'll update this once this pup has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with their foster.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
