Searching for Forever, Again- Meet NeoComing to us as an owner surrender after spending the last 7 months with his family - adopted from us in March 2026 - Neo is hoping to find his true forever this time. His family let us know that they were surrendering Neo due to not being able to completely housetrain him, in addition to his escape attempts that they could no longer thwart. They did let us know a few things about him that will be helpful in finding his family who will love him through it all! â¢Working on being fully housebrokenâ¢Crate trainedâ¢Knows sitâ¢Did great with childrenâ¢Loves to play with other dogsâ¢No information about how he is with catsâ¢Will chase livestockâ¢Super sweetâ¢Loves to runâ¢Playing is his favoriteSince he has been back with us, we have found that Neo is still so puppy-like which could lend to his escape attempts out of sheer curiosity about everything. Of course, keeping your dog on a leash under your direct control, and even in your company while in a fenced yard, is always the best way to make sure to the possibility of an escape is lessened. Neo is super calm in his kennel here with us, patiently waiting for his turn for treats! Such a good boy!He even met a slightly larger spayed female on leash outside and he was very polite. The sniffed each other all over with wagging tails and then just started meandering around the grass together sniffing- it again was determined that he truly is a very friendly boy.If you have the patience, grace and the forever this absolutely precious boy deserves, please come and ask to meet him in person! Our adoption kennels are overflowing and he will not be found on the adoption floor. Meet and greets with other dogs and children are always recommended. We do not have information on how he does with cats and cannot test this.If you cannot promise forever, please wait until you can make that commitment before adopting. The 3 3 3 Rule for shelter pets:3 days to decompress3 weeks to settle in3 months to build trustNeoâs adoption fee is $40 through the end of day Saturday, October 10, 2026.All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives.
