emmett

Emmett | Male | Domestic Shorthair | GrayDOB: July 24, 2026 (His foster mom suspects the litter may be about a week younger.) Emmett is a handsome domestic short-haired kitten with a nearly solid-gray coat and only a few tiny white hairs on his neck. His fur is incredibly soft and plush, much like the beautiful coat of a Russian Blue. He is the biggest of his litter at nearly four pounds and loves playing and wrestling with other cats. Emmett can be very shy during meet-and-greets, so people do not immediately get to see his true personality. He needs an adopter who understands that he may take a few days to feel comfortable in a new home. Once he feels safe, he is incredibly cuddly, affectionate, and devoted! He becomes his person’s little shadow and will even cry if I leave the room until he can come find me. Emmett is wonderful with children and gets along very well with my adult male cat. He would likely be happiest with another friendly cat or kitten to give him confidence and companionship. He especially loves his sister Eleanor, whose sweet, outgoing personality helps bring him out of his shell. They would make a wonderful pair for someone interested in adopting two kittens, although they are not required to be adopted together. He has also been slowly warming up to dogs. Barking or dogs suddenly running toward the door can still startle him, but he recovers quickly. Emmett is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and litter-box trained. He was born on July 24, 2026, and is fostered in a home in DeLand with children, cats, and dogs. If you are willing to give this shy boy a little time to feel safe, Emmett will reward you by becoming the most loving and loyal little companion.
